Our Mission

The   Electrical   and   Computer   Engineering   Graduate   Student   Association   (ECE-GSA)   is   a   student-run organization   that   aims   to   assist   the   student   members   in   achieving   a   productive,   enjoyable,   and enriching   experience   during   their   stay   at   UC   Davis.   The   ECE-GSA   organizes   weekly   coffee   hours,   mock exams for the PhD prelims, barbecues, peer-mentoring sessions, and more.

Welcome      to      Davis.      As      you      are      going      through orientations,       and       collecting       seemingly       endless information,   rest   assured   your   department   and   GSA   are committed   to   helping   you   have   the   most   productive   and enjoyable   graduate   school   experience.   Come   have   some coffee   and   refreshments   during   the   coffee   hour,   chat with   your   peers,   and   the   occasional   faculty   member   in an   informal   setting.   Take   advantage   of   the   various   social and    professional    events    being    organized.    If    you    have any   issues,   informal   or   otherwise,   reach   out,   and   we   will help you or point you to the appropriate resource.

Coffee Hour Social

Weekly, Friday 2:00-3:00 pm Kemper Hall 1131 (usually) Come join your peers and faculty in an informal setting, enjoy some coffee and refreshments. Meet people, talk about your week, weekend plans, raise concerns, and/or just chill.

BBQ

October 5, Friday 3:00-5:00 pm Join us as we welcome the new students in an informal social. Enjoy some barbeque, make friends and experience the Davis autumn. Please RSVP here by Oct 1, if you haven’t done so yet.

Join the IEEE UC Davis chapter, our sister organization . They hold many events throughout the year that can aid your professional development and increase industrial connections. IEEE membership also have many benefits for graduate students, so check them out.
All ECE graduate students are invited to join the ECE GSA google group. The Google group is meant for only the graduate students and our staff advisor so come discuss any issues and graduate life at UC Davis, in confidentiality away from the faculty. If you can’t find the invitation email, then reach out to one of us officers and we will resend the invite.
